What Parents Say:

"I have found Rectory Lane Nursery a well structured and positive environment for my children. My eldest, Daniel, began to read in Feb 2009 and now (Oct 2009) has the reading level of most 6/7 year olds, he can also write and do mathematics. My youngest is doing extremely well in the Clever Cat room and always comes home with a piece of art work he has created or model he has made or a star for getting his colours and shapes right. Very positive teaching methods.
Jigsaws Overall I have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to other parents. It provides both care and discipline which is similar to the home environment and easily reinforced.
My favourite part about the nursery is that it is not too big so children get forgotten or lost in the system, it is a small and intimate environment which puts the child at ease." -

"Rectory Lane is a lovely well run nursery with a really friendly and caring atmosphere. Our boys really enjoy going and they have settled in really quickly. We are really pleased with the progress our boys are making with speech and confidence.
The nursery staff are wonderful and always keep you updated on your children’s progress and development. I would recommend the nursery to any parent." - Thomas and Alfie's Mum & Dad

"I have known the nursery for over six years. I was working as a nanny for a family with two children who attended the nursery for three years. I had noticed a big change on the behavior of the children and good manners. When they left the nursery they were both confident readers and also good writers. What I was very impressed with was the way they encourage healthy eating and extremely good manners as this is important as a parent. I now have children of my own and my four year old Bradley attends the nursery since January 08.

The aunties always cooperate with the parents and they inform you of daily routines which is very reassuring. Bradley has benefitted extremely from attending the nursery and has excellent social and behaviour skills thank to all the aunties.  I really like the fact that the children get a one to one so they get treated as individuals, as every child is different and has different needs. I highly recommend the nursery to any parent." - Bradley's Mum

"My shy little 2 year old has transformed into a confident, friendly and outgoing 4½ year old thanks to all the wonderful Aunties. The nursery has a relaxed and loving atmosphere and my daughter feels safe and at home here. Her favourite thing of all is proudly showing off the workbooks she has done with Auntie Sandra.  My daughter now sadly leaves to go to ‘Big’ School but leaves being able to read and write and do simple maths. The nursery has given so much and Abbie has learned a great deal from her time here so I will be sending my next child here when the time comes." - Abbie's Mumplaying doctors!

"It’s a fantastic environment which allows children to enjoy learning. The variety of activities engages their imaginations.
The staff are wonderful and loved by all the children. They are there to help the parents too, which is very reassuring." - William's Mum

"Lucas seems to thoroughly enjoy himself while at nursery and his speech has improved enormously. We like the fact that the nursery is small and time is spent with each child individually allowing them to develop at their own pace." - Lucas's Mum & Dad

"Fantastic learning environment, professional staff, structured timetable.
Good parent / staff relationships. Reading program commenced at a much earlier age than state schools. Excellent manners and discipline - best foundation a child can have prior to full time education." - Harrison's Mum

"Rectory Lane Nursery has been great for Roxy in the year she has been there. She has grown to be more confident around other children and has learned the importance of interaction and sharing. Roxy was confident with colours and shapes within weeks of being at the nursery and has surprised us many times when she gets home with Nursery Rhymes she has learned word for word with amusing dances to go with each song (Auntie Glynis is probably responsible for this)???? Rectory Lane’s staff have a homely feel to them whereby you feel your child is being looked after and taught by one of the family. This feeling extends to the parents too, each teacher has been very accommodating when I have felt the need to ask questions about Roxy and her development and they are good to pass on tips on what you should try at home. The Nursery is also great whereby their holiday Terms/Periods are shorter than other Nursery’s and schools enabling those who need it to fit around there work commitments. These are just some of my thoughts on why I would recommend Rectory Lane. Finally just a big thanks to Rectory Lane, as we have a well mannered thoughtful and bright little girl and a lot of this was due to the Nursery and its Aunties (Teachers)." - Roxy’s Dad

"Sophia is very happy at Rectory Lane Nursery, she enjoys all of the activities and is learning to socialise with other children of her own age group. All of the staff are dedicated to the welfare and educational needs of the children and provide interesting and stimulating activities that are developing the children’s intellectual, physical and social skills. The nursery is in a good location with regard to the safety and seclusion of the children and is also very easy to access for parents who wish to continue on to their work place in the factory area or out of Stevenage via the A1(M) or A602." - Sophia's Grandparents
